Rumunia 12

Przełom Dunaju - to jest około 90 km dróg w pobliżu brzegu rzeki Dunaj. Dzisiejszy wygląd krajobrazu powstał po wybudowaniu zapory (Żelazne Wrota).
Danube gorge - it is about 90 km of road near to Danube river bank. Nowadays look of landscape came into existence after the dam was built (The Iron Gates).

Rzeźba - głowa Decebala - to pomysł rumuńskiego biznesmena Iosif Constantin Drăgana. Rzeźbę wykonało 12 alpinistów, zajęło to 10 lat i kosztowało ok mliona dolarów.
The sculpture - Decebalus Head-  is an idea of romanian businessman Iosif Constantin Drăgan. Sculpture was made by 12 alpinists, it took 10 years and costed about milion dollars.
During the trip you can also see castle towers from VII century stick out from water or castle Golubac on the serbian side of gorge.
There is a lot interesting stories connected with that area, for exemple history of the island called Ada Kaleh which were a Turkish exclave. Island were sunk but some structures were moved on other place - Şimian Island ( isn't available - now there is army base ).
Ada Kaleh was near to Orșova and this city was flooded during dam build but it was moved on higher ground in the same place.
Road is sometimes better or sometimes worse but the view is always amazing:)

Byłem i wspominam naprawdę pięknie. Pozdrawiam
